GlossyBox December 2016 UK Review! (Sugar Choice)

What a lovely little festive touch! Glossybox you think of everything XO

Hiya lovelies! Wow i have been ultra excited to share with you all my 2016 December Glossybox! 🙂 It is a fabulous one and extra special. Last month Glossybox let us choose between two festive boxes, you could either pick the lipstick Spice (a deep red plum shade) or Sugar (Nude Brown shade), when you pick either one they give you the Spice or Sugar box depending on your pick! As you can probably tell from the gorgeous shades in the box i picked Sugar…the box is dedicated to the nude lip! I love nude colours i find they compliment any look that i try to achieve. You can also add a lot of it and it still not look overdone. I also find that nude colours compliment my skin tone, eyes and hair. So i went for that box as i knew i would love the most! 🙂

Inside the box : 5 products (All full size!) All make up products aswell…cant complain about that though, as a girl can never have too big a makeup collection hehe!

So let’s get into detail about the gorgeous products…i can’t wait 🙂

This Lipstick is orginally £18…which straight away exceeds the glossybox price for this box. MDMflow brand i have never heard of but the first thing that caught my eye in this box was the packaging of this lipstick! It is absolutely stunning in shiny gold. This shade is in Bossy which is a semi-matte taupe nude. This was apparently inspired by Kelis the hip hop superstar. The lipstick has a gorgeous and subtle warm chocolate undertone and i am excited to try this. This would definitely compliment a nude look but would also not wash you out and would also be a statement lip too because of the brown pigmentation included. The lipstick itself is packaged so well the lid is secured on nice and tight and no popping off in my handbag 🙂 but it isn’t the creamiest lipstick texture so hopefully not drying on the lips, but i wouldn’t of thought it would be for the price it costs 🙂 I think this lipstick would look stunning on anybody. It really suits this season well as i love these type of shades for the Autumn and Winter months.

Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette – SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES Oh how gorgeous are these shades. I have heard of the brand Essence although i haven’t purchased anything from them before. This is an absolute bargain product for £3!! It is a strobing trio palette. For those of you who don’t know and are interested strobing is slightly different to contouring. Contouring requires use of multiple products but Strobing is simpler and is finding where natural light hits facial features e.g. cheekbones, brows, chin, nose and using the highlighter to define the area.

As you can see from the picture the three powders vary in shade of highlight. The palette includes a Nude highlighter, Rose Highlighter and a Golden Beige Highlighter. Which means it is a palette excellent for day or night. These shades can be applied together or individually whatever your personal preference is and what look you are wanting to achieve. I think this is a lovely subtle highlight palette and i will definitely be trying it out!! The shade on the Left is Matte and the other two are shimmer pigmented. When swatched, all three were highly pigmented and i am extremely pleased with this product considering the price! Bonus is on the back it is very gorgeous and girly. It shows you where you can apply this product which i think is perfect for beginners and very helpful! SAM_3626.JPG

LIPCOTE Browcote –

SAM_3619.JPGSAM_3620.JPGThis is a brand new released product. I think it’s great how Glossybox would include a brand new product as i love to test products early on when they are first released. It retails at £6.99 for 3.8ml and is a a waterproof, transparent gel which sets and tames your eyebrows. You can use this on natural brows or with eyebrow makeup. It claims to help it last for hours. The only downsides for me is that it doesn’t smell very nice, i think it smells quite chemically and the brush wand looks a little thick. I might try once but i don’t really need a product that secures my brows on because i find my eyebrow makeup lasts all day luckily without a top coat seal. I am unsure if the gel would leave your eyebrows looking shiny because it doesn’t state anywhere that it dries matte. But i think the product would be great for someone to try who struggles with long-lasting and smudge-free eyebrows.

Ooo so so happy with this eyeshadow i received, this product is made for me; a shimmer, golden eyeshadow = my favourite type. Again i have heard of this brand but i haven’t ever tried it out. This gorgeous subtle golden beige shade is my signature eye look. I love this shade for eyeshadow! It has a lovely shimmer added and is highly pigmented. This eyeshadow is £8.99 and i would say if i brought again it would be worth every penny. It has a lovely rich colour and i think will look stunning mixed with a deeper golden beige, i am excited to pair this with that as i think using this lighter shade over my eyelid would look beautiful. The packaging is great it has a little push button clip so it stays very secure. Having this product in this Glossybox has made me definitely want to purchase GOSH’s other eyeshadows in a variety of other shades 🙂

The last product i received was Revlon’s Nail Enamel polish in the colour 705 Gray Suede. It retails at £6.49 and is a 14.7ml bottle. The shade is absolutely gorgeous. I am a huge nail polish fan i have painted nails every week! But i haven’t ever tried a shade like this before. I had to try for this weeks colour of course. The nail polish formula just glided on my nails easy, it dried at a normal speed for a nail polish and was a lovely creamy consistency. I did 3 coats so the pigmentation was there on the first coat but adding two more got it to it’s true colour. The shade is a taupe grey with very subtle shimmer included. Which i think gives it an extra magical little something. Very easy to apply. I have used Revlon nail polishes before and they are chip resistant. It had a lovely glossy, smooth finish and looked very chic and elegant. I think Glossybox have been spot on for a nail polish to match a nude lip 🙂

I hope you loved opening the December Sugar Glossybox with me and discovering the products inside!  🙂 I would love to know if any of you received the Sugar box too and your thoughts on the products inside, and i am also very interested in what was included in the Spice box if any of you asked for that one! So please leave a comment if you wish 🙂 Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of your Sunday! 🙂

Love Charlotte XO
