Wow, super impressed and over the moon about this month’s Glossybox. The range of products in this edition could not of been anymore perfect for the ‘love’ month (Valentines.) Even the special packaging design is spot on! I am super excited to share this month with all of you, because in my opinion this is the best box i have received! And we are only on the 2nd month of 2017, so i can’t wait to see what else Glossybox have in store for the rest of the year!
Inside the box : 5 products ( 4 full size)… 3 Beauty, 1 Skincare & 1 Hair Product!
Box total roughly around £64.
Jeanne Arthes L’Eau de Rose (30ml) – I have to start off with this gorgeous, feminine product. This product is an Eau De Parfum. I was instantly in love with the fact that it was 30ml full size and i can totally see why they would of chosen this fragrance for valentines season. It is a perfect rose scent, which is not sickly, over powering or too subtle. Jeanne Arthes fragrances are known to be modern with an elegant french twist and at only £20 this is a true bargain. After i had tested it i couldn’t believe the price, it really does smell like a more high end expensive perfume. This Rose fragrance is elegant, dreamy and has a modern twist on it. It doesn’t smell too mature (like some rose scents out there can), it smells brilliant for a youthful, girly fragrance whilst still being classy and feminine. I am so in love with this and i have worn it everyday so far since receiving, i could still smell it even after a shower which shows that the lasting length on this is incredible. I have always loved Rose scents the most with florals but never quite found one i really adored…until now. Very promising for my future signature scent. If your interested in purchasing i found out that it’s a new scent so not launched just yet. So make sure you are keeping your eyes peeled! (Finding this out excited me alot because we are lucky to of tried a fragrance even before launch.)Note: Glossybox added a small tip for applying fragrance which i hadn’t known, but feel it’s worth sharing. Never rub your wrists together after applying as it affects the scent. You should just spray and press carefully together or wait for it to dry.
Ciaté London Nail Polish (Iced Frappe) – I have heard great things about this brand of nail polish and saw their advent calendar advertised last christmas which looked very good. So was happy to be trying the brand out for the first time with this product. This is in the shade Iced Frappe and this shade is a lovely nude with coffee undertones. I can imagine it would flatter any skin tone. It retails for £9. And yes we did receive a full size! I love the packaging with the elegant curved figure that is really lovely to grip and hold and the little bow just adds a little extra. This is definitely a shade i would of picked up in the store.
MEMEME Beat The Blues (Shade: Oyster Gold) – I was so excited to see this product included in the box. I have never heard of the brand MEMEME before but this is a skin illuminator. I have always wanted to try one out but never got round to purchasing one. This is a liquid highlighter and comes in two different shades; Pearl Pink or Oyster Gold. I love a golden glow so out of both of these i would of purchased the one i received luckily which is in Oyster Gold. This retails at £7.25 for 9ml, which is a great price for this type of product. The bottle packaging looks like a nail polish and has a very pretty design on it so definitely eye catching. This skin illuminator creates a healthy, dewy, youthful finish because it contains light-reflecting pigments. You can dot along your cheek bones or brow bones for highlight or you can mix it with your foundation for an all over shimmer glow. Because this product when swatched looks so pigmented i would say that less is more. This is so glowy and gorgeously golden. I am so excited to try it fully out and at a bargain price i would highly recommend.
LA THEORIE DES VOLCANS: Noir Eternae Youth Potion Face Scrub – I love skincare products and i am not dissapointed that in this box there was only one because oh my goodness… it’s an amazing one! 🙂 I am so excited to share this with you, i have never heard of this brand before or even heard of this facial scrub and i am thrilled i know about it now. Before i write more i’ll share the price of this with you it is £26 for 30ml, which is maybe a little more than you might of thought for a face scrub but it’s incredible ingredients will explain why. So lucky as glossybox were generous and gave us a full size 🙂 This face scrub is a mineral-rich volcanic paste that can be used as either a face mask or facial scrub. It is made in France and is called a purifying youth potion. This mask cleanses, purifies, plumps, smooths and is enriched with anti-ageing ingredients. The colour starts off pink but then amazingly turns to grey as it starts to work removing the dead skin cells aswell as impurities on the skin. It really is a magical mask and i am so excited to treat myself to a facial with this! It also smells so delicious. Some other bonuses is that it is 90% natural, silicone and paraben free and is vegan. If you want to purchase however the only place i have really found is from latheoriedesvolcans.com but delivery is a little pricey at 18 euros. Which is the only bad thing about this product if i fall in love with it and want to repurchase.
GARNIER Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm – I am guessing you all have heard of the brand Garnier. I have tried a couple of products from the Ultimate Blends collection and have used before the Honey Treasures hair conditioner so i knew immediately that this would be another lovely product to try out. The original price for this is £4.49 (300ml) we received a sample of 20ml. I have never tried a hair mask if i’m honest because my hair isn’t in a damaged state but recently i have been looking into one just so i can treat my hair every now and then. I most likely wouldn’t of chosen this one as if i am treating my hair to a special hair mask once in a while then my prefernce would be more luxury. However, i know already that this Honey Treasures will smell amazing. This product would be great for someone with damaged hair as it is intense care. The hair mask contains hydrating properties of honey so it can nourish it well and leave it glossy. It also has other ingredients such as Royal Jelly and Propolis which leave damaged hair feeling healthier too. It claims to make hair feel stronger, healthier and have less breakage. So at this bargain price if a hair mask is what you are in need of i would say go for it, not a bank breaker product so worth a try for sure.
So that’s the full box 🙂 As you can probably tell i am so happy with all of the products once again. It was a perfect selection with some great beauty finds. I will be trying them all out as it was a box of perfection for me. No faults i can find and again it leaves me excited for the next months goodies. If you have received the February box i would love to hear from you and share with me if you got any different products as i am always curious to know 🙂 Also if you have tried any of these products before too let me know your opinion on them. Like always thank you for reading!
