Marks & Spencer’s Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar 2017 (Worth £250!)

Hello Lovelies!

I can’t believe how quickly Christmas is over but i hope that everybody had a wonderful Christmas and a lovely couple of festive days. As promised on my Christmas Eve post i said that i was doing a double blog post review this weekend of the two advent calendars that i had purchased this year. I had to review these two before 2018…and as it’s just around the corner this is the perfect time to do so. The first of the two is the Marks & Spencer’s beauty advent calendar. (I’m saving my favourite until tomorrow!) I waited until i had opened all the doors to share with you all and after a whole 25 days wait i can share with you what is inside their beauty advent calendar for 2017.

The Marks & Spencer’s advent calendar is perfect if you are already shopping for presents at M&S. It costs £35 for the Advent Calendar when you spend £35 at M&S. I have read alot of reviews in the past about this, people say that then overall it costs you £70. But it doesn’t really because you have spent £35 on things you want/christmas gifts for others at their store, so the calendar really does end up costing you just £35. The Advent Calendar has a whopping £250 worth of goodies inside! They do let you know what is included however i didn’t want any spoilers so i just skipped that part.

I was very surprised that for only £35 M&S included bestselling products and cult brands too. There was 25 days to open, which was perfect because some beauty advent calendars only do 12 days or 24 days. So i do love to purchase ones with 25 days as it is always lovely to open an extra treat on Christmas Day! The contents inside ranged from make-up, hair and skincare so there was a good mix and range of products.

My Opinion

I absolutely loved this advent calendar, to receive 25 products worth £250 altogether with spending just £35 on this it is already an incredible bargain. That means that each product cost me £1.40!! That is truly incredible. If you don’t like receiving mainly sample items in your beauty calendars i think this one would be a pass for you because this contained 20 samples/travel sizes. Alot were generous amounts and even though they were mini’s or sample sizes some were worth alot of money like £25! I think it’s great to be able to try these products before having in full though but, if you only really like advent calendars with mostly full size items this one isn’t for you as there was only 5.

If i had to say a negative about this advent calendar it would have to be the lucky dip part. There was a definite that you would get 24 products but the product in Day 11 was a lucky dip one. You either received a full Size item of Ultrasun Ultralip or a Look Good Feel Better Sculpting Sponge. Although i was super happy with receiving the sponge as this was the one i had wanted when i found this out, this could be a negative for somebody who had their heart set on which item they wanted but ended up getting the other one instead. I haven’t come across this in an advent calendar before usually all the products are exactly the same in all the boxes they produce. But then again some people may like that you don’t know exactly and it is a total surprise which one you will get…after all it was only for one of the days.

Overall, i thought this calendar was fabulous! The products inside were perfect and there was a lovely variety. This was my first ever Marks & Spencer’s beauty advent calendar and i am sure it will not be my last. The sizes were generous and it was all housed in lovely individual and prettily decorated boxes. I would love to hear if any of you brought this beauty calendar this year and your thoughts on it. If you purchased another one please share in the comments as i love hearing about people’s beauty advent calendar choices. Thank you for reading and i will be posting again tomorrow with another 2017 Beauty Advent Calendar unboxing…hmmm i wonder what one it will be??

    1. Awwh wow so nice to hear someone else had this calendar! Thank you for reading 🙂 I found out because on the back it had said something along the lines that 24 were exact products but 1 was different. So i did abit of googling and found out that way 🙂 I am really happy with the blending sponge too! XO

  2. What I’m most surprised about is that it would only end up costing you 35 pounds, but the insanse value :O I know people have quite mixed opinions on whether they prefer full sizes or travel size products, I think these smaller version are a great way to find out if you like a product or not 🙂 But a few full size products mixed in wouldn’t hurt
