This is a review of the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Trio Palette.
I have never tried any Laura Geller makeup but have often heard amazing things about the brand. I had been really wanting to try out their highlighters for a while now and so about a month ago i purchased a trio palette so i could try 3 of their different shades out. The palette cost me £22 for 3x 2g amounts of highlighter. I think that was a decent price as highlighter lasts a long time as a little goes a long way. This palette is a cult beauty favourite in the highlighting world so i wanted to try out for myself and see if it was worth the hype.
I love the packaging it’s just in a simple gold shiny box…something that is easy to find in my vanity case of makeup! It has a magnetic close so the lid stays shut when not in use and comes with a sponge applicator brush (although i haven’t used it yet) and comes with a mirror inside the lid which is useful when applying the highlighters.
The 3 shades of powder highlighter are all different but each the exact same texture and pigmentation.
- Ballerina – This shade is a dusky, rose gold.
- Gilded Honey – This is a copper bronze shade.
- Peach Glow – This shade is a warm sort of apricot colour.
All of the shades are stunning. They give you the ultimate glow. When i tried out i noticed that the highlighters have a buttery, smooth texture to them when applied. They blend out like a dream each one and they are very ‘popping’ highlighters. The pigmentation on these are incredible and a little really does go a long way.As you can see from the swatches below they are highly pigmented. I swiped my finger across my arm just once and it created these beautiful illuminating swatches.
I like to highlight the top of my cheekbones with these, my brow bone, bridge of my nose and cupid’s bow. I would highly recommend these to anyone, if you are looking for a variety of highlighting shades and ones that are so easy to apply and blend without looking patchy or cakey. You can also combine all three of the highlighters to create even more luminosity and this looks just as gorgeous as picking one to use. I like that these on the skin do look more subtle when blended but you can also pack a good few layers on to make your highlighter blinding.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the results of the highlighters and how they performed. The texture is creamy even though it is a powder product and it really does glide on like a dream. The light catches the highlighters beautifully and really does light up and sparkle your skin beautifully. I love that the palette has three different shades that i think would compliment all skin tones. For £22 it’s great value for money seem as though a little really does go a long way. This palette will last me ages i can tell!

I have her gilded honey highlighter and adore it! I want to try her new diamond dust. You can wet these for a more dramatic, pigmented look too!
