GLOSSYBOX (UK REVIEW) AUGUST 2018

Hello Lovelies!

It’s time for August Glossybox edition! This Glossybox has a #LoveIsLove theme and Glossybox are celebrating Pride with this box. They have created a special Pride design for this and this month we have 6 full size products which were all chosen with feeling bold, unique and empowered in mind. This box is a great edition to the Glossybox collection as the international Glossy community promote love, vibrancy and liberty.

BEAUTY

RIMMEL LONDON Ink Me Stamp and Sticker Tattoos – I am thrilled to see this item in Glossybox. It is perfect for the festival season this summertime. This is a duo from Rimmel London’s Ink Me range. Both of the products cost £4.99 each. One is a Heart stamp Tattoo. This actually has to be my favourite item of the whole box! It is stunning! Anywhere you want a small delicate heart shaped tattoo, stamp it on your skin and your good to go! This looks so pretty by the eyes and it dries so quick. It works wonderfully over a full coverage face (I tested) and it’s just a cute way to add some more fun to your makeup look! I will definitely be buying the Star stamp in their range next!

TRIFLE COSMETICS Lip & Cheek Jam – I love trifle Cosmetics Glossybox seem to put this brand in a couple of times so it’s always good to see another product of theirs. This is a multi-tasking lip and cheek jam which gives you a natural flush of colour for 10 hours! It’s a red liquid that you just dab two dots onto wherever you want this and then blend with fingers. It retails for £17.50 and is natural, organic, vegan and cruelty free. It also is 78% water-based and 99% natural. I don’t usually use lip and cheek tints but this will be worth trying out to see if I like the end result.  P8120501.JPG

KALEIDO COSMETICS Astrolight Highlighter – Even though I do have my favourite highlighters I also love checking out and testing new ones. This is by a brand I haven’t come across before called KALEIDO COSMETICS. The packaging on this is gorgeous. The product itself is an illuminating 8 hour highlighter. It’s creamy and claims to be so bright that you’ll be able to see it from space! Haha…a dream highlighter then! Apparently this is such a blinding highlighter because the ultra concentrated mica pigments and pearls inside are packed so tightly. Can’t wait to try this out! As you can see from the swatch below it really is blinding! You can also mix this with your foundation for a more illuminated look. The shade is a gorgeous bronze brown and it is called ELECTRIC. It also retails for £13 for 4ml and is cruelty free. I’m super impressed with this highlighter.P8120503.JPG

3INA The Shadow Paint (Blue – 703) – This is a quite out there eyeshadow shade. Not my usual type at all but with my own personal preference thoughts aside let’s just jump straight into the product review. I thought it was clever how the packaging was like a paint tube. I loved that very fitting for their name to be The Shadow Paint. This is a dark, midnight blue (12ml) eyeshadow from the brand 3INA. It is highly pigmented, waterproof and long lasting. You can either go for a more subtle blue look or build up the coverage and go for a striking out there look. It retails for £8.95. Like i said before it is not my usual eyeshadow colour…actually very far from it haha but if you love this shade for your eyes then I can imagine you will love this product! P8120498.JPG

SKINCARE

VICTORIA SECRET Let’s Pre Glam Perfecting Sheet Mask – I love a good face/sheet mask so i was thrilled to see this product especially one by the well known Victoria Secret brand. I’ve never tried out their skincare products before. This sheet mask is in a gorgeous pastel coloured, rainbow vibes packaging. It is a nourishing sheet mask that contains Hyaluronic Acid (The super skin conditioner.) After using this sheet mask for 15 minutes I can imagine your makeup will apply flawless over your smooth base skin. I am so excited to try this product out as I often like to switch up my face masks and try out new ones. It retails for £5 and I can’t wait to Pre-Glam with this! P8120499.JPG

Overall, I loved this month’s Glossybox. The only product i wouldn’t of wanted in here was the 3INA shadow paint (maybe a choice of another colour would of been better.) I loved the Rimmel London heart stamp and the Victoria’s Secret sheet mask. The overall total of the box came to roughly £54.43 and considering I spent £13.25 on this Glossybox it is a massive bargain! I love hearing from all of my readers so do let me know down in the comments if you received this box too, or perhaps your thinking of subscribing to Glossybox or just let me know which products from this you like the look of! Thank you for reading!

I wouldn’t actually use the stamp, but I agree that the face mask is a really nice addition. I like the cream shadow in a tube, but agree a different colour would have been better! I guess they can’t please all people all of the time and I think it was good to see some different types of products in there. I did enjoy it more than the July box.

Haha that’s funny as the stamp was one of my favourite items! It’s brilliant to hear your opinions too that is so true a subscription box is all about trying out new things and getting items you wouldn’t usually buy yourself sometimes. Glad you liked this box more than July’s. Thank you for reading and commenting! XO
