Afternoon Lovelies,

It’s that time of month again…my May Glossybox has arrived and it’s time for another Glossybox Monthly Review! This month Glossybox are embracing high-end beauty trends. They have included 5 full size products that are high-end and must haves! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

BARRY M COSMETICS Chisel Cheeks Contour Cream Kit OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a cream contour kit by Barry M Cosmetics which retails for £7.99. I’m not too bothered about receiving this item, just because I already have a favourite contour kit which I use everyday so i’m personally not looking to try out new contour kits. I’m also not a big fan on cream contour I much prefer powdered. However, Glossybox included this item as apparently 2019 is the year ‘all about subtle definition.’ This contour kit has your standard contour and highlighting shades that you would usually find in a palette. (I haven’t swatched them as I will be giving this product away.) This kit would suit all skintones. I cannot say what the consistency of the creams are like and if it’s long lasting or not, but for £7.99 it’s one of the more affordable kits out there. Below are the 6 shades included.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

NAILBERRY Love Me Tender Nail Polish OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOooo I am so happy that Glossybox have added one of my favourite nail brands in this box. I love NAILBERRY their range of nail polishes are gorgeous! Their nail polishes are very long lasting, always give a smooth application and the colour pigmentation is always perfection! This is such a sophisticated and elegant pink/mauve shade. The colour is perfect for what I usually wear! This nail polish retails for £14.50. You might think sort of pricey for a nail polish however, this isn’t just a standard nail polish. This nail polish is part of Nailberry’s Oxygene range. It uses patented technology to give a healthier manicure as it covers your nails with a unique film that allows air and water vaper to pass through! This means your cuticles will stay protected and your nails will stay healthy! Wonderful!

MUDMASKY Aftermask Vitamin SerumOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Again, a fabulous brand that Glossybox have included. This is Mudmasky Aftermath Vitamin Serum. It retails for £43 and this is a full size we received (super lucky!) This serum is definitely going to be an up and coming beauty trend… It is the first skincare product in the world that is designed to be used after a facemask, it will nourish the skin’s complexion with the vitamins that your skin will need after a peel off/sheet mask treatment, charcoal or intense clay mask. I am excited to try this after my next facial mask and see if it makes my skin that extra bit smoother and softer.

DR.JART + Shake & Shot Rubber Firming MaskOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI have not heard of this brand before if i’m honest but this was the first thing in the box that highly intrigued me. It’s DR.JART+ Shake & Shot Rubber Firming Mask. (I know the packaging looks like a cup but no don’t drink it!) Apparently, Dr.Jart+ is very well known for high-performing skincare innovations and has created this shaking rubber face mask (possibly the latest trend in the face mask industry.) I had to really read the instructions to even see how this works.

Basically, there are 2 sachets packets inside the cup and a spatula applicator also. You add both the sachets to the empty cup and then close the lid and shake it around. Then using the spatula you apply to your face (within 2-3 minutes after you’ve stopped shaking.) You leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and then can peel the mask off. The mask is sort of like a DIY facial mask. Which seems very fun! The mask apparently nourishes your skin with high-potency active ingredients and will leave your complexion dewy and healthy. The best thing about this mask though is that because it’s a cream to sheet formula it will penetrate the skin deeper than your standard sheet mask. This allows quicker and more effective moisturising of the skin. It retails for just £8!

Cap is slightly spooky looking…I think!

BEAUTY KITCHEN Natruline Natural 0% Petroleum Lip TreatmentOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt’s always nice to have a lip balm included. And this one retails for £2.99 and is the Beauty Kitchen Natruline Lip Treatment. I think sustainable beauty will be a big thing for 2019 so this is the perfect item for an on trend product! This 0% petroleum sustainable lip treatment claims to be more effective and less greasy than petroleum jelly alternative lip balms. It is made from 100% natural ingredients and apparently protects and moisturises your lips for up to 8 hours! The packaging is great for the environment too by being made from recycled tinplate and is 100% recyclable. I tried this out on my lips and yes it’s a lovely lip balm. Not greasy and tacky and feels extremely light on the lips, it also moisturised them very well (not sure for up to 8 hours though) so an overall good product!

Overall, I love this box! There are a variety of different items which I love and Glossybox have included some fantastic brands! My favourite items were the MUDMASKY Aftermask Vitamin Serum and the NAILBERRY Nail Polish. I love how Glossybox included full size for all 5 of the products…very generous! The mask is a very unique skincare product so i’m excited to try it out myself! The total box’s worth came to £76.48!! (which is amazing!) I am already excited for June’s box!Love, Charlotte

  1. I’d never come across that nail varnish brand before but the range, to let air & water vapour pass through, sounds very interesting! Pricey, but I can see why. Lots of great ones in this box, the cost definitely adds up doesn’t it, makes the subscription seem like an absolute bargain! xx
