It’s time for my monthly Look Fantastic Beauty Box review. July’s beauty box theme is called ‘The Hydration Edition.’ This is a more skincare focused edition which I am totally in love with. They have picked products which will give the skin’s complexion a boost.
INSIDE THE BEAUTY BOX… 5 SKINCARE AND 1 BEAUTY
Just A Little Note – Every LookFantastic box comes with the latest edition of Elle Magazine which retails for £4.50. I haven’t photographed this because I want to show the products instead but wanted to let you know so you are aware that you would also receive this gift too!
ELEMIS Hydra-Balance Day CreamThis is a day cream that is best used for normal to combination skin types and worth £19.90 for 20ml. It claims to provide continuous hydration and keeps complexion supple and soft. It contains Meadowsweet Extract which is known to control oil production of the skin and it also contains the well known and massively loved skincare ingredient Hyaluronic Acid which helps to lock in the skin’s moisture.
VITAMASQUES Gold Eye PadsI love a mask specifically for the eye area so I am excited to try this one out. It’s by VITAMASQUES and is worth £5.99. The eye pads are designed to de-puff and plump up any tiredness in the under eye area. They also hydrate and cool the skin instantly. The packaging is gorgeous just a bright and shiny gold look to it. Very eye catching. Which is perfect as the actual product itself contains real gold extract which helps to brighten up the under eye area.
AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES Revive Body GelI love essential oils so this body gel is right up my street. It’s from Aromatherapy Associates and retails for £12 for 40ml. It’s applied like body lotion (you don’t have to wash it off) but it is a gel treatment that leaves the skin feeling supple and soft. It’s infused with Rosemary, Juniper essential oils and Grapefruit. It claims to stimulate circulation and also helps to reduce any fluid retention. It’s refreshing not only for the body but for the mind also due to the essential oils included. It also is perfect for the summer as the gel gives a cooling effect on the skin.
NAOBAY Illuminating Micellar WaterThis is worth £11 and is full size version (200ml) of NAOBAY Illuminating Micellar Water. It cleanses the skin and purifies it too. It is enriched with Green Tea which is perfect for protecting the skin against any environment pollution. It is suitable for all skin types and also hydrates and soothes the skin because Aloe Vera is included in the ingredients too. It’ll be interesting to see how well it removes makeup.
GLOV On-The-Go Hydro CleanserThis product looks very interesting. It’s an on the go cleansing glove. It is suitable for all skin types and removes makeup. The cleansing glove contains star shaped fibres which are up to 30 times thinner that a cotton pad and contains antibacterial electrostatic properties which helps to absorb makeup and dirt. It’s worth £11.90 and is reusable which is great. I am looking forward to trying this out however as the glove is white I think it will take alot of scrubbing to remove any makeup stains on it. Not too much of a problem but if I had to think of a con it would be that.
EYEKO Fat Eye Stick I’m not usually too keen on eye sticks for eyeshadow however the shade that I received is something that I would wear so I’m willing to try it out. This is Eyeko Fat Eye Stick and you could either of received the shade SMOKE, SATIN or GILT. I received Gilt which is a flattering bronze metallic shade. These retail for £12 and is a chubby eyeshadow crayon which is apparently highly pigmented and long wearing. It will be interesting to see the end results of this jumbo eye pencil as I have never used in my makeup routine before.
Overall, I love this months Look Fantastic Box. It was mainly a box of skincare based products but that was perfect for the Hydration theme. There was a good selection of items included…facial cream, eye mask, body gel, micellar water and makeup remover glove. It’s great to see that the box didn’t just include skincare creams. The total box worth came to £71.99. I would love to know if you received July’s box yourself, what were you thoughts on it? If you didn’t receive I would still love to know what your favourite product out of this selection is?
