2020 has arrived!! I have been super excited since the 1st of January to review my regular subscription boxes for the fresh new year. For LookFantastic’s January edit they have the theme of ‘Revive’ and have chosen to include products all focused on revitalising the mind and body. Helping us to feel energised and ready to kick start 2020 in the best possible way. I think a perfect theme for a new year.
INSIDE THE BEAUTY BOX… 4 SKINCARE, 1 BEAUTY AND 1 HAIRCARE
Just A Little Note – Every LookFantastic box comes with the latest edition of Elle Magazine which retails for £4.50. I haven’t photographed this because I want to show the products instead but wanted to let you know so you are aware that you would also receive this gift too!
ECOOKING Moisturising Serum This is Ecooking’s Moisturising Serum in a 10ml bottle which is worth £21.50. This serum claims to replenish lost moisture and hydrates the skin. It is a lightweight formula which is non-greasy too. The serum is packed full of Hyaluronic Acid and it’s great to see that as it will help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also paraben and fragrance free which is a bonus. Ecooking does some lovely skincare so i’m excited to try their serum out.
GLOV Moon Pads (Set of 3) I’m always interested in makeup remover tools which don’t just involve fast removing disposable makeup wipes or water and cleanser. It’s great to see makeup remover tools that can be reused and take makeup off easily. And I can’t wait to try this product out. It’s by Glov and this bag contains x3 of their moon pads. This retails for £7.11. The pads are reusable and sustainable made from microfibers that help to remove dirt and impurities from the skin aswell as removing makeup and giving the skin a deep cleanse and exfoliation – all with just one pad! You just soak them with warm water and gently wipe over the face. They are machine washable so will be easy to clean. These are a lovely idea and I am super glad LookFantastic have included these.
MIO SKINCARE Shrink To Fit Ooo I have always wanted to try out Mio Skincare because I have heard some good things about the brand itself. With this item, product may vary and you could of received one of three products…either Boob Tube, Skin Tight or Shrink Fit (all in a 30ml bottle.) I got given Shrink Fit which is a cellulite smoother. I wish we could of picked our choice as I would of preferred the Skin Tight one. All of these are antioxidant rich creams that work on different areas, toning, firming and smoothing the appearance of the skin. They have a mix of Papaya, Green Tea, Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid in the ingredients. The 30ml bottles retail for £9.
AUSTRALIAN BODYCARE Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick This is a handy little product to include and I love that it is in a blemish stick form. This retails for £9.99 and contains 9ml. It’s a Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick by Australian Bodycare. Tea Tree oil is great for treating spots and breakouts and this blemish stick is infused with 100% tea tree oil. It’s got wonderful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and when used on the first sign of a breakout it fights bacteria and reduces any redness, also speeding up the healing process. I’m glad to have this as I’m not usually well stocked up on tea tree oil and you never know when a pesky spot could appear.
LORD & Berry Ultimate Lip Liner (Nude)Only one beauty product in the box this month but it is a good one. It’s a nude shade lip liner from Lord & Berry. The shade is gorgeous totally one that I would wear. The lip liner has ingredients like Macadamia Oil, Waterlily Extracts and LXB Complex. Not only will it give good pigmentation but it also softens the lips due to the formula which is what I love to see in a good lip liner. It’s waterproof and blendable and retails for £15.
SEBASTIAN PROFESSIONAL Dark Oil Lightweight Shampoo & Conditioner It’s always handy to receive a duo shampoo and conditioner. I often find I have just run out of haircare products as I’m in the shower so having some extra minis on the side helps massively. It’s also wonderful to try out new shampoos and conditioners. However I really wish we would be given more SLS free ones as that ingredient really does flare up and irritate my scalp. So sadly I won’t be able to try these out. But away from my personal issues they do look like great. I love the sleek and sophisticated looking packaging and the products contain a special blend of nourishing oils like Jojoba and Argan. This duo is salon-grade and they cleanse and condition the hair without weighing it down. It also claims to give a noticeable improvement in the hairs softness, volume and shine. The bottles are both 50ml and retail for £7.92.
Overall, this is a lovely box from LookFantastic to start off their 2020 beauty boxes. The total worth of the box came to a big £70.52 which is a brilliant bargain for the actual cost of the beauty box. It’s quite skincare heavy this box but I personally love that and that’s especially nice to see in January when our skin might be needing a freshen up from the festivities of December. I adored the product brands chosen for this box, Ecooking and Mio Skincare are wonderful brands to include. I especially loved the handy little tea tree oil blemish stick and that will be very useful I’m sure.
