To celebrate the arrival of Spring Glossybox have chosen the theme ‘Blossom’ for their April box. They have filled the box with 5 products to nourish and awaken our beauty routine and the products are beauty “essentials you need to bloom into a beautiful flower this April.” Knowing that the theme of this box is ‘Blossom’ I just already know that I’m going to fall in love with the contents…
INSIDE THE BOX… 1 BEAUTY, 3 SKINCARE AND 1 HAIRCARE
NAILS INC Blossom Kisses Nail PolishA great brand to include, this is a full size bottle of Nails Inc nail polish in the shade Blossom Kisses and retails for £11. The shade is perfect for Spring a delicate pink hue with cool undertones added, it’s a super pretty pink and definitely a shade that I love. The formula claims to last for up to 10 days which will be interesting to put to the test and like other Nail Inc nail polishes it includes a wide brush that makes the polish easier to spread smoothly across the nail giving a more professional finish. I’m very happy with this product and adore that it’s in a pink shade!
AVANT Gentle Rose Beautifying Face ExfoliantI LOVE when subscription boxes include the brand Avant in their product choices because it’s a very luxurious and expensive brand so being able to try out their products at such an affordable bargain price (when it’s included in a subscription box) is an absolute treat. This is Avant’s Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant and it’s a full size bottle of 50ml that retails for a massive £92! This exfoliator has an incredible formula which is rich in antioxidants, hydrating and soothing too. It contains a rich rose extract and Vitamin B5 aswell as other great ingredients. The facial exfoliant claims to hydrate the skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and calm any skin irritations. It also has a wonderful relaxing floral scent which is divine. Totally in love with this product and can’t wait to try this out…an incredible treat especially as we received a full size version!
RITUALS COSMETICS The Ritual Of Sakura Shower ScrubAgain another fabulous brand that I love to see in a subscription box. This is Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Shower Scrub, which is a two in one cleansing and exfoliating scrub for the body with a gorgeous cherry blossom scent. It’s formula has volcanic scrub particles which have been blended with rice milk to leave skin nourished and soft. This shower scrub transforms into a soft shower cream once water has been applied. We received a deluxe mini bottle which contains a generous 70ml worth of product at a retail price of £4.60.
SPORTFX Lip BalmIt’s nice to see a lip balm in this box as it is a beauty essential however, personally I find that some lips balms don’t hydrate my lips enough and they stay chapped and dry. I only have a couple lip balms that are my firm favourites so I’m always curious to see if a new brand of one that I haven’t tried before works. This one sadly didn’t for me. This is a lip balm by SportFX that retails for £4.99. You could either of received a Coconut scent or a Raspberry & Rhubarb one, I got given the Raspberry & Rhubarb. Both lip balms include shea butter and natural oils and vitamins and also contain SPF15 (I love when lip balms contain a much needed SPF.) The one I received pigmented my lips to a red shade which I wasn’t too keen on as I prefer a lip balm to be colourless and when I gave this a go for a few days I sadly didn’t notice any difference to my lips hydration. I don’t want to be negative but for me on this occasion this is a bit of a miss and I wouldn’t go on to purchase it myself.
HASK Deep ConditionerGlossybox have included a couple of Hask hair products in their previous boxes and I have loved each one that I have tried out so far, so it’s wonderful to see another included. This time we have been given a Deep Conditioner either with Coconut Milk & Organic Honey or Orchid & White Truffle. I received Orchid & White Truffle which I’m very intrigued to use. Both conditioners are full of natural goodness that claim to hydrate, nourish and leave hair shiny. The packets retail for £2.49 and these are in full size with 50ml of product. I’m looking forward to using this during my next hair wash.
Overall, this is a perfect box I’m actually so thrilled with the contents. The brands included are great especially having brands like Avant, Nails Inc and Rituals in the box. I adore the selection and variety of products included and my favourite items would have to be Avant’s face exfoliant and Rituals shower scrub. The lip balm is the only product that I’m not a fan of but all of the rest I’m delighted with. The total worth of the box came to an incredible and massive £115.08! Which is amazing… honestly such great value for money considering I only paid £11.75. Absolute bargain!
