Back in January I wrote a post about ‘How To Discover Your Authentic Self And Be True To You’ it received quite alot of love and interest from all of my lovely readers so, for this weeks post I decided to expand on the topic of ‘being true to you’ and have added another 3 tips that are relevant to this.
When we are true to ourselves it paves the way to happiness…
- Know The Formula For Authentic Living… People who live authentically know themselves, they know exactly what motivates their decisions and they are true to themselves through and through so they are seen as genuine. There is a formula for authentic living and it’s a good place to start if you want to understand in a simple way what it takes to live an authentic life. The formula is… Know Yourself + Own Yourself + Be Yourself = An Authentic Life.
- Listen To Your Inner Wisdom… It’s incredibly important to NEVER let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. We need to learn to block out the negative mental noise of others so that we can hear our own inner voice of wisdom. Try it now; Find a quiet space, close your eyes and give your inside voice a chance to speak out and really listen to it. Like I mentioned before in the other relevant post ‘Truth and power lie within your heart.’
- Don’t Wait And Do It Now… Sometimes we get stuck in life because we think that we have to have long-term goals and if we don’t know yet what they are then we have a tendency to not do anything at all. But instead of thinking about the future start thinking about what you want right now in this moment. Being true to yourself is about what you do, think and feel right in this present moment. If you practice being true to you at every present moment each day then you will start to see the road ahead more clearly.
I really hope that you have enjoyed reading this post and enjoyed hearing some more tips for keeping it real and being true to you. Like always I love hearing from you all so I would love to know your thoughts and opinions on this post and feel free to add/share anymore tips that are relevant to this topic down in the comments below, your ideas are always welcome.
