Tap Back In Tune With Yourself With This Simple Tapping Exercise

Morning Lovelies,

Prioritising more time for ourselves is incredibly important when it comes to our overall wellbeing and health. Becoming better at prioritising time for yourself is about recognising your own needs, giving yourself permission to listen to those needs and connecting with yourself. This simple tapping exercise that I’m sharing with you below can help to increase feelings of self-validation and can help you to remember that you are worthy of quality ‘me time.’

  1. Start this exercise by placing your hands crossed over your heart then begin to inhale slowly and deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Repeat this a few times.
  2. Next, place your fingertips of both hands on your collarbone and guide them a few inches below. Start to massage this area gently in a circular motion.
  3. As you massage the area say “I feel…” and fill in the blanks, often it’s something like anxiety, stress, worry, guilt, doubt etc. Notice what happens to your body whilst doing this. You may start to feel an energy shift, more connected to your body or even just feel validated in your own emotions. Repeat this step a few times.
  4. Finish off by gently tapping around your whole upper chest with the fingertips of both hands and do this for a few minutes until you notice a more calming shift.

I hope you find this simple tapping exercise helpful for starting to connect and tune in with yourself. I personally enjoy doing this exercise before I carve out some quality ‘me time’, it allows me to acknowledge how I am feeling and helps me to connect to myself on a deeper level before relaxing and doing something for myself. I would love to know what you thought about this exercise and what you personally experienced during it (of course only if you’re comfortable and happy to share this.) Like always I would love for you to share your thoughts and opinions on this post down in the comments below as I love hearing from you all!
