13 Amazing Natural Beauty Hacks That Honestly Work!

Afternoon Lovelies,

I wanted to share with you all this week 13 amazing natural beauty hacks that you can try out at home yourself which, will help make sure you stay looking your fabulous best no matter what beauty problems arise. So let’s just jump right into it…

  1. Say Goodbye To Pimples With Manuka – We’ve all experienced that moment when we’ve woken up with pesky pimples. The next time this happens be ready for it by treating yourself to a healing manuka honey facial. Manuka is packed full of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals and it has fabulous anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties so it’s excellent for treating spots. Apply as you would a facial cream or cleanser, leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water. It’s literally that easy.
  2. Reduce Cellulite With Coffee – If you have a load of left over coffee grounds from your morning brew don’t just chuck them out instead put them to good use. Mix them up with a glug of olive or coconut oil and some sugar and you’ve just made yourself the perfect cellulite scrub. Apply the scrub to stubborn bumpy bits and massage into your skin in a vigorous circular motion. The caffeine will really help boost circulation and can even remove toxins.
  3. Soothe Sunburn With Yoghurt – Spent too much time soaking up the sun rays and now suffering for it? Amazingly yoghurt makes a great treatment for sunburns and also rashes and irritated skin thanks to it’s high levels of zinc and it’s brilliant cooling effect. Opt for Greek yoghurt which contains more skin-saving fats. Trust me this beauty hack works like magic!
  4. Prevent Blisters With Deodorant – This one might be surprising to you but it does work. Clear deodorant is wonderful at preventing a blister rub, simply apply to your shoes or anywhere else they feel tight or are rubbing. The gel acts as a lubricant so you can enjoy your next night out and dance the night away to your heart’s content without worrying about painful blisters appearing the next day.
  5. Lift Hard Skin With Lemon – Rough knees, elbows or other hard skin areas bothering you? Then buy yourself a lemon cut it in half and rub it across the problem areas. The citric acids really help to smooth rough patches and if you love lemons then it’ll smell rather delicious too.
  6. Strengthen Nails With Egg Yolk And Honey – Are your nails in need of abit of TLC? Then why not treat them to a strengthening mask made from egg yolks and honey. Mix one egg yolk with a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of water and leave on your nails for 10 minutes. Egg yolks are packed full of protein and honey’s antifungal properties will keep your nails strong, healthy and shiny.
  7. Brush Teeth With Baking Soda – Isn’t it annoying when you are about to brush your teeth and suddenly realise that you’ve run out of toothpaste! The next time this happens just mix a couple of teaspoons of baking soda with a bit of water to make a paste and then brush the paste onto your pearly whites like you would normally with toothpaste. Leave it on for a minute and then rinse. This beauty hack is best to do only on those occasional moments like when you’ve run out of toothpaste and not on a regular basis because the abrasive action can wear down tooth enamel.
  8. Cleanse With Coconut Oil – Coconut oil works a treat if you’ve run out of cleanser or make-up remover. You can remove stubborn make-up by smoothing a dollop onto your face and then wipe off gently with a warm cloth. In fact coconut oil works wonderfully on just about anything – use it as a moisturiser, lip balm or hair mask aswell and you’ll reap the incredible benefits of it.
  9. Moisturise Skin With Avocado – Avocado isn’t just delicious mashed up on toast for breakfast but it also makes a fabulous moisturising mask. Mix up a mashed avocado with a teaspoon of honey and some high fat yoghurt before spreading thickly onto your skin. Let the mask work it’s magic for 10-15 minutes and then remove with a warm wash cloth. You’ll notice more plumped up skin with a more radiant complexion.
  10. Beat Puffy Eyes With Rooibos Tea – I’m sure you’ve heard before about the cold teabag trick to de-puff eyes but did you know that rooibos or red tea is the best type to opt for when trying to beat puffy eyes. Red tea can really help to decrease inflammation and redness and this is because it is 50 times more potent than green tea as an antioxidant and it also contains high levels of Vitamins A, C, E and a powerful enzyme called Superoxide Dismutase. Try it out for yourself!
  11. Get Rid Of Dark Under Eye Shadows With Parsley – If you are looking for a natural way to get rid of dark under eye shadows then make your very own face mask by blending a cup of parsley stems with a cup of yoghurt. Yoghurt is full of lactic acid enzymes that have brightening and hydrating properties and parsley is full of calcium and Vitamin K which are good for the capillaries. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then gently wash off.
  12. Heal Hair With Honey And Coconut Oil – Like coconut oil, honey is an emollient which means it locks in moisture so, mixing these two together will make a fabulous hair mask. Simply mix three tablespoons of melted organic coconut oil with two tablespoons of raw honey and massage into your hair and leave on for at least 30 minutes. If you can leave on overnight that’s even better… your hair will be in total heaven!
  13. Wanting Gorgeous Beachy Waves? Spritz Hair With Salt – For a tousled beach look dissolve a few teaspoons of sea salt in some warm water and pour into a bottle. Then simply spritz it on your hair and scrunch your hair with your hands to achieve beautiful tousled beachy waves.
